Recommended Databases

Access the library's free databases on campus or off campus. Select a subject specific database to begin your search. Below are some suggested databases, though these are by no means the only ones the library owns. When accessing from off campus, you will need to enter your MEID and password. Reference databases (like Gale Virtual Reference below) are excellent places to start for an overview or general background information on a topic.

Most databases allow you to email yourself a copy of the article and also provide guidance on citations. Databases include scholarly articles that you will not find for free on the Internet. The information contained in databases has been through an editorial review process whereas free websites are not held to as high a standard.
