COM100: Introduction to Human Communication

The objectives of this library instruction are practical and assignment driven. By the end of this session you will be able to: 

• Find library resources to support a COM project

This guide was designed to support students enrolled in COM100, however, others researching communication might also find the content useful.  Here is the basic format:  

• Find Databases and Search Terms -- This tab will provide information to explain how to access online information through the GCC Library.
• Find Articles and Books -- This tab will provide helpful sources for completing research for a speech.  
• Find Help from a Librarian -- This tab will provide information about available research assistance.   
• Library session -- This tab will provide access to the additional learning resources used during the lesson.  
• Find Citation Assistance -- This tab will provide information to explain the basics of APA & MLA and how to access other useful citation information and tools.
