A library DATABASE is a collection published works such as books, journals, magazines and articles. They are searchable by keywords and subject headings.
KEYWORDS are words or phrases that a researcher develops to best describe the topic they are searching.
SUBJECT HEADINGS are terms assigned in the database to identify particular topics. Database thesauri can be used to identify subject terms.
