About this Guide

Welcome to the GCC Political Science Guide!  This guide is meant to help students studying in these areas. It is divided into several main parts, which can be found through the left navigator:

 

  • Background Information -- This tab is meant to help you identify starting points for research into your topic.  This includes background information resources along with sources and hints to help you begin.
  • Find Articles -- This tab will provide information to help you find online articles, journals, magazines, and newspapers on your topic.
  • Find Books -- This tab will provide information on finding topical books available either at the GCC Library, online, or through another MCCCD library.
  • Find Video -- This tab will provide information to help you find you find either DVDs or streaming video sources on your topic.
  • Find Images-- Learn how and when you can use images and find resources for copyright-free images.
  • Website Evaluation-- Learn how to evaluate a website before choosing to use it for research.
  • Library Citation Guide- This tab links to the library citation guide for help and guidance.
  • Maricopa County Voter Information-- This tab links to Maricopa County Recorder's office for information on registering to vote, finding your polling place, finding your elective officials, and more. It also links to the Arizona Clean Elections Find My Candidate tool.
  • Surveys-- These tabs are used in conjunction with library lessons
