This guide supports the GCC student organizations that host the occasionally annual Social Justice Poetry Reading event.

For detailed information on the Tuesday, April 25, 2023 event (6 - 8 pm), see the Amnesty International Social Justice Poetry Slam Event Page. Join student clubs under the trees on the lawn just east of the GCC Student Union for an evening of social justice poetry. The GCC community is invited to participate in sharing poetry and other creative works that promote social justice. During the course of the evening, participating GCC student organizations will share expression that reflect or engage with social justice issues of importance to their club. An Open Mic portion of the event will invite the GCC community at large to share poetry and other creative works that promote social justice. The event is sponsored by Amnesty International and the LGBT+ student organization at GCC. All participating student organizations are invited to have a club table and share information about their club. |
