NUR152: Nursing Theory & Science (Le, Stott, & Dwork)

This guide was designed to support students enrolled in NUR152, however, others researching nursing might also find the content useful.  Here is the basic format:  

• Evidence Based Practice (EBP) -- Access to articles that address the importance of critical research skills for nurses.  
• Find Databases and Search Terms -- Information that defines databases, keywords and subject terms.
• Find Books -- Information to explain how to access electronic and physical books, including reference books.  
• Find Scholarly (Academic) Journal Articles -- Information to explain what scholarly journal articles are and how to access them through the GCC Library.
• Find Open Web Resources Using Google Search Tips -- Information on more effective Google searching.
• Find Health Fair Resources -- Resources specific to the Health Fair project.  
• Find Cross Cultural Nursing Resources -- Resources specific to the Cross Cultural Nursing project.
• Posttest Review - This tab is available during the library lecture for classroom assessment. 
• Find Help from a Librarian -- Information about available research assistance.   
• Find Citation Assistance -- Information to explain the basics of APA citation style and how to access useful citation information and tools.
