Hotspot Lending Program at the GCC Library

Get connected! This guide has all the details students need to know about the hotspot lending program offered by the GCC Library.

Hotspot Use & Care

Hotspot Use & Care

Up to ten (10) devices may be connected to a hotspot at one time.

Do NOT leave a hotspot in a car or outside. As with any technological device, the heat will cause damage and you may be responsible for replacement costs.

These are GCC devices intended to facilitate access to education. Do not use the hotspot to engage in illegal activities.

Use for extended streaming or gaming is not recommended. We cannot guarantee signal strength or network coverage determined by the service carrier (Mobile Beacon).

Connecting a Hotspot

  1. Turn on the Hotspot and the device(s) you wish to connect
  2. Click the menu button until the Wifi name appears on the screen, and again for the password
  3. Open the Wifi settings or controls on your device
  4. Find the Hotspot name and enter the password displayed on the Hotspot screen

Tech Help for a Hotspot

If you are experiencing a technical problem, reach out to a librarian. Do NOT ask the IT Helpdesk; you must get help from the library. Call the GCC Library at 623-845-3112 or email us through the Email-a-Librarian form.

You may need to bring the hotspot back to the library for a physical repair. We will troubleshoot a few common issues with you first. If this does not resolve the issue we will reach out to technical support from the service provider.
