Project Presentation and Instructions
Additional Notes and Instructions for Social Distancing Buddy Robot:
- Everything for this project will be in the sandwich bags located in the Arduino kits. We have already taken the liberty of uploading the code for this project on to your Arduino boards.
- When connecting wires, the color of the wires doesn't actually matter, they are all the same. Additionally, you will notice that the wires might be connected to one another. Please feel free to pull individual wires from their bundles.
- The buzzer we are using is significantly smaller than the one pictured in the Social Distancing Buddy directions.
- In addition to the instructions already listed in the Social Distancing Buddy directions, you will also be plugging in the 9-Volt battery connection at the end of the project in order to power your Social Distancing Buddy.
- The shorter wire on the buzzer should be connected to the Gnd. If everything seems connected properly and the buzzer isn't sounding, then you will likely need to switch the plugs around on the buzzer.
- Please note, if the plugs in the Ultrasonic sensor are incorrectly connected, this device can get rather warm. Therefore, if you detect warmth from the Ultrasonic sensor, immediately unplug your board and recheck your wiring.
- We have white chipboard already cut out to put the technology in. You can decorate or draw upon these boards if desired.
- Please unplug the 9V power source when the project has concluded.
