GCC Library Reimagine MakerSpace

This guide is intended for those interested in information about the Reimagine Space.

What can you do with an Arduino?

Arduino Projects in the Library

There are numerous Arduino projects that you can get involved with.  Below, we have listed a few sample projects.  You will notice that some of these projects will require you to purchase kits and materials in order to complete them.  For example, if you wanted to create a remote control car or drone with an Arduino, you may need to purchase wheels or propellers and a casing for your vehicle.  With all that said, the library is willing to help you with these projects in a variety of ways:

  • Arduino systems are available in the Reimagine Space Room, along with a kit of associated parts to get you started.  Additionally, we offer several available for checkout that you can take home and complete projects with.  Please note, you will eventually want to either return the Arduino Kit you borrow from the library or (if you wish to keep it as part of your project, pay the $-- replacement fee for the device)
  • Additionally, Arduino projects can be made in conjunction with other equipment and materials in the Reimagine Space such as our 3D Printers.
  • We also have limited funding to pay for kits and projects you are envisioning with your Arduino.  Essentially, if you project is affordable, the library will be willing to purchase kits and materials to help you complete your project.  This might involve purchasing things such as wheels, cases, sensors, motors, equipment, etc.  Please note, decisions will be made on a project by project basis.  If this interests you, please send an email to:sean.obrien@gccaz.edu for details.

Arduino Project Websites

In the complete Arduino Starter Kit purchased by the library, there is a CD with a variety of projects upon it that a person can utilize to get started learning Arduino.  In addition to the projects listed on this CD, there are many different projects that can be found online from sites such as the following:
